Wellness Center — Custom Series of Paintings (5 total)
The Wellness Center through a variety of treatments aims to reach their member’s optimal health on a cellular level. While designing the artwork for the space I incorporated hexagons to represent a DNA strand. Each hexagon was painted by hand to reflect a sunset over the lake. Using this subject matter with the blues and turquoises of the lake and the pinks, yellows, and purples of the sky during a sunset, enhanced the atmosphere of the wellness center by creating a calm and serene environment to those who visited and spent time in the space.

Psychiatrist Office — Custom Series of Paintings (3 total)
Designing artwork for a psychiatrist office was an absolute pleasure. The doctor who commissioned the pieces gave me free reign to create three abstract pieces for his office space. The first piece was inspired by the hexagon sunset paintings that he saw on my website. The other two were images that I custom designed for his office. Each design was intentional with the purpose to create a relaxing and healing environment. Calm flowing colors and shapes were used to promote serenity and harmony. Loud colors and harsh shapes were intentionally avoided.
Private Residence — Custom Series of Paintings (3 total)
Hanging out on a trip to Chicago’s Lollapalooza, Andrea and I were discussing Andrea’s newly purchased home which had a massive living room wall that was approximately 11’ x 16’. Andrea had seen my work online and wanted a custom piece to fit the space. We began collaborating as soon as I got back to my home studio. As a world traveler, she had images of Croatia and Costa Rica that I used as inspiration for the color palette.
After a video meeting and seeing her living room space, I took into consideration lighting, size, and color while designing the artwork. I designed a minimalistic lake scape where a horizon line separated the blue sky and the turquoise water. Several options were sent to her for the proposal including scale mockups and texture samples. After the project was approved and completed, my husband and I went to Grand Rapids to oversee the installation of the custom commission paintings.
Private Residence — Sunflower Mural
Mary Jo hired me to paint a sunflower mural for her husband at their private residence in Utopia Beach. We collaborated on a design that included their favorite colors and flowers. I designed a project proposal that included a scaled mockup of the design. After the proposal was approved I began painting a mural that transformed their space and gave them something to enjoy for years to come.

Private Commission — “Charlie” (3 total)
My one and only “pet” commission gained a lot of traction online. Rachel Murphy reached out to me from Melbourne, FL. She wanted me to design a custom, one-of-a-kind piece of a beloved pet dog for her dear friend. Using a photo of Charlie as inspiration, I created a 3 in one custom piece. I etched an image of Charlie on a plate, made a print of the etching, and an embossed image on a piece of paper. After the plate was printed, I cleaned off the ink and gave the plate with the print and embossed image so that they could hang the work in 3s.
